Las Vegas By Car


Getting to the City of Las Vegas by car is another way to arrive in Las Vegas.

The main roads to the gambling city of Las Vegas are:

  • Interstate 15 South (I-15 S) from Salt Lake City, Utah, and North (I-15 N) from San Diego, California.
  • US 95 southbound from Reno, Nevada and northbound (US 95) from Searchlight, Nevada.
  • US 93 south from Ely and Jackpot, Nevada, and north (US 93) from Kingman, Arizona.

Intercity buses serve the City of Las Vegas.

It is about 280 miles from Los Angeles to the City of Las Vegas.




If you are coming from California on I-15 N, you can stop in Primm, Nevada, at the state line and have a bite to eat. You will also find the Fashion Outlets Of Las Vegas mall there, and you can do some of your Las Vegas shopping (daytime). There are some Las Vegas attractions for kids as well as casinos.

Primm is about 35 miles from the City of Las Vegas.




If you are coming from Utah on I-15 S, you can stop in Mesquite, Nevada, to find hotels and casinos. You can take a rest, have a snack or stretch.

You are about 81 miles from the City of Las Vegas in Mesquite.




If you are coming from the Reno, Nevada, area on US 95 South, you can stop in Beatty, Nevada. It is a very small town, but there are a few other places where you can eat and take a break.

You are about 115 miles from the City of Las Vegas in Beatty.



Note:
Watch out for speed traps in the neighborhood of Beatty, and Goldfield, Nevada, another small town.




If you are coming from Arizona on US 93 North, you can stop at the Hoover Dam (daytime) or have something to eat.

You can also stop in Boulder City, Nevada, nearby and visit the Boulder City and Hoover Dam Museum.

You are about 30 miles from the City of Las Vegas at Hoover Dam.
