Great Las Vegas museum at the University of Nevada, Las Vegas.

The Marjorie Barrick Museum Of Natural History is located in the complex of the University Of Nevada, Las Vegas (UNLV) at 4505 Maryland Parkway. That's at the corner of Swenson and Harmon Avenue, not far away from the Las Vegas Strip.

After you have experienced some gambling lessons, take the family to this museum for a visit.

The exhibits "Countenance: Self-Portraits by Jerry Shawback and KD Matheson: Sereno" are on display through May 20th and July 2nd of 2011.

These two exhibitions are featured in the Community Gallery.

Call the museum for information, because there are several displays going on, and there are daily activities too.

There are several hands-on activities in the lobby. This includes archaeology digging that Kids and adults will have fun doing.

Take a look at the Xeric Garden. An outdoor exhibit of plants from the American deserts as well as plants from other desert parts of the world.

from 8 a.m. to 4:45 p.m.

Saturdays,
from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Closed on
Sundays,
State and
Federal Holidays.

Admission is free.

There is a free suggested donation of $5 and
seniors 62 and over $2.
