The Silverton Aquariums

Silverton Aquariums, within the hotel, make for an enjoyable and interesting family visit.

This free entertainment Las Vegas is at the Silverton Hotel & Casino located at 3333 Blue Diamond Road, Las Vegas, NV 89139.

When you are finished gambling and if you are an outdoors person, this is a place for you to visit and enjoy.

It is about 3 miles south to the Las Vegas Strip. It has several salt water and fresh water aquariums.

The big one has 117,000 gallons of salt water with a nice reef and more than 4,000 tropical fish. You can see 3 kinds of stingrays and 3 kinds of sharks.

You can see two distinct underwater shows.

One is a fish feeding show: The diver is in the aquarium and wears a communication mask to interact with guests.

There are 3 shows daily
1:30 p.m.
4:30 p.m.
7:30 p.m.

Also, there is a question and answer session.

The second one is a mermaid show.

Thursday and Friday
from 2:15 p.m. to 8 p.m.

Saturday,
from 2:15 p.m. to 9 p.m.

Sunday,
from 12 p.m. to 7 p.m.

These shows are every 15 minutes, except when the fish are being fed.

Also, there is a 165,000-square-foot Bass Pro Shops Outdoor World. This is heaven for sportsmen and those who like outdoor activities. It has all kinds of outdoor accessories and supplies.

Directions In The City Of Las Vegas

From the Las Vegas Strip, take I-15 South and get off at the Blue Diamond Road Exit, West (right). Take Dean Martin Road, first left (traffic lights) and you are there.

If you are staying at the Mandalay Bay Las Vegas or around there, go South on the Las Vegas Strip (Las Vegas Boulevard South). When you hit Blue Diamond Road, turn right (West), go over the freeway, turn left (traffic lights) on Dean Martin Road and you are there.

If you are staying Downtown, take 95 North, then I-15 South (Los Angeles), get off at the Blue Diamond Road Exit, West (right). Take Dean Martin Road, first left (traffic lights) and you are there.
